With more than 25 years of executive experience in global industries such as cement, steel and textiles.
From 1999 and until 2004, he worked for CEMEX playing different roles. During this time his main achievements were the standardization of HR world wide key processes, the redesign and implementation of top management development programs, as well as the design and implementation of internet-based learning processes (e-learning). From 1995 until late 1997, he was responsible for the management of an entrepreneurial leader’s development learning center, DUXX, within Pulsar group. During 1998 he analyzed new businesses acquisitions in the group.

He invested 17 years of his professional career, from 1978 to 1995, working for the Alfa industrial group . Among his main achievements, he led Galvak’s growth and downsizing plans (thin steel pipes for walls), as well as the strategic redirection of this firm and the accelerated growth in the domestic market of Terza carpets, in addition to having led the business strategy proposal.
As consultant, he founded VACCI in 1995. Since 1996 he has advised and counseled Monterrey’s National Commerce, Services and Tourism Bureau (CANACO). In 1994-95 he presided the Steel and Pipes Producers Commission and counseled CANACERO. He has been a member of the Family Firms Institute in Boston since 2004.
He earned the degree of Chemical Engineer, with a minor in Administration from the Technological Institute and Higher Education of Monterrey in Mexico (ITESM). He obtained his Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering Science from Wisconsin University in the US. He has participated in multiple seminars and trainings related to international management at Stanford, Wharton, Carnegie Mellon and Thunderbird Universities, as well as Japanese management in Yokohama, Japan. |
